[After Goro and Akira fuck around with the gavel in the Courtroom, the gavel begins to glow red-hot, and is now impossible for a mortal to touch without getting badly burned. The newly-installed, now short-lived Chopping Block in the Courtroom splinters down the middle, splitting it nearly in two. Its blade completely detaches, and its chains will shatter; in short, it's now completely unusable for its intended purpose. The following effect will also set in ship-wide, starting immediately and continuing indefinitely:

• All over the ship, locks that are normally only openable via Advocate keys will begin to occasionally malfunction, granting access to non-keyholders. The Courtroom's lock is the only one to remain completely unaffected by this.


• Chains throughout the ship (those in the Oar Banks included) will break down in various ways - cracking, crumbling, rusting, or even melting.


• The systems failures are happening more frequently and lasting longer, up to hours.
