[After Shen Wei attacks the gavel and tries to move it on the morning of the 18th, the following changes and events occur:

For approximately 12 hours immediately after the attempt:

• The door to the Courtroom is fully sealed, and not even Advocates can get in.


• The door to the Courtroom appears heavily rusted and corroded.


• Prisoner abilities have no chance of returning during these 12 hours. Advocate abilities, however (though not their Galley-issued shields or batons) may be suppressed for between 30 seconds and 5 minutes
.

• Life-sustaining systems become unreliable. For minutes or up to half an hour at a time, rooms or stretches of hallway all over the Galley may lose any of electrical power, running water, gravity, heat (plummeting quickly to freezing temperatures) or breathable air. Weirdly, these effects don't seem to spread at all from area to area - air doesn't rush from ordinary areas into those suffering decompression, even if there is no barrier between them. It's weird as hell.
